The Tragic
Facts:
- Since 1973 - 94,259 lives ended by abortion in
the state of Montana.

- 184 babies were aborted in the Flathead Valley
in 2006. Of this figure, 177 were county residents.
- Flathead County now ranks fifth in the state (down from 3rd in 2005) behind
Lewis & Clark (4th), Gallatin (3rd), Yellowstone (2nd) and Missoula (1st) counties in the number of abortions performed
in 2006.
- Nationally and statewide, the number of
abortions are down. In Flathead County, the numbers
continue to decrease from 331 in '04, to 276 in '05, to 184 in '06.
- There have been more than 48
million abortions
in the United States since the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.
