40 Days For Life - Fall 2011 Thank You!
Thanks and congratulations are due for all our prayer warriors who made this fall's campaign a huge success. Only God knows the prayers, sacrifices, and efforts far and wide that supported our local campaign and prayer vigil. We do celebrate that during this past campaign our on-line system has recorded that we are 1,226 warriors strong through our five cumulative campaigns. We also know and recognize that for every "official" sign-up we have many others behind the scenes lifting us up in prayer and supporting our campaign...the "unknowns" to us but not the unappreciated.
Every email and update goes out to 450 households and 46 churches here in the Flathead Valley and the prayer power behind every campaign need is indeed immense. Many of you were not able to join at our Victory Rally but we wish you to share in all the excitement and news of our successes. As of today the nationwide number of known babies saved is at 721. This number grew from the known babies on day 40 of 465 and will continue to grow as reports of saved babies flow into local campaigns and onward to the national team. How can one even begin to comprehend how amazing it is that even one baby today is alive because of this prayer movement...to be blessed with knowledge of these huge results should empower each of us to strive ever more faithfully in our witness to the sanctity of life.
Our local vigil exceeded all our past campaigns and your leadership team expectations and we are excited to move forward yet again. Two hundred and fifty six (256) people...Godly men, women, and children, came and prayed at our vigil site from September 28 to November 6th representing over 20% of our registered participant base and providing us an average of 1.5 people per vigil shift. Of these:
112 prayed for one hour51 prayed two hours
35 prayed 10 or more hours
18 prayed 20 or more hours
11 prayed 30 or more hours
7 prayed 40 or more hours, and
2 prayed 80 or more hours
We were blessed with five churches sponsoring vigil days or periods with Trinity Lutheran leading the way and setting the bar at four full 24 hour days and a doubling of their active vigil participants. Thank you Trinity and Pastor Cutler for your humbling witness. We locally saved one baby from abortion during this fall campaign and received news of a baby also saved during a previous campaign. God affirms and renews us in our commitment with the great benefit of this knowledge. Our prayer matters, certainly to these two babies and their parents but also to all those babies we will never know about as well as all those who are post-abortive and are drawn to seek healing and forgiveness. Our culture can and will turn back to life as prayer continues to sweep over our community and nation. Praise God for the great works he is performing in our midst. Praise God for the precious gift of life that he continues to entrust to mankind.
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve you and the community in this great prayer movement and mark your calendar for February 22 the start of this coming "Spring 2012" campaign. I hope you are as excited as your team is to see what God has planned for us going forward.
Peace & God's Blessings

Firebomb Thrown at Elderly Woman at Pro-Life Prayer Event - Kalispell
(March 18, 2011, Kalispell, MT. By Steven Ertelt, LifeNews.com) A homemade incendiary device was thrown at one of the participants of the 40 Days for Life pro-life prayer vigil at an abortion business in Kalispell, Montana on Thursday night.
The woman walked on the public sidewalk near the abortion business when an unidentified person threw the device akin to a Molotov cocktail in her direction. The woman did not see either the firebomb nor the assailant it exploded on the sidewalk behind her, making a loud popping noise like a big firecracker as it burst into flame. Fortunately, the woman was not hurt in the incident.

Ethicists Argue in Favor of "After-Birth Abortions" as Newborns "Are Not Persons"
The Blaze (2/27/2012) -- Two ethicists working with Australian universities argue in the latest online edition of the Journal of Medical Ethics that if abortion of a fetus is allowable, so to should be the termination of a newborn.
Alberto Giubilini with Monash University in Melbourne and Francesca Minerva at the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics at the University of Melbourne write that in "circumstances occur[ing] after birth such that they would have justified abortion, what we call after-birth abortion should be permissible."
The two are quick to note that they prefer the term "after-birth abortion" as opposed to "infanticide." Why? Because it "[emphasizes] that the moral status of the individual killed is comparable with that of a fetus (on which 'abortions' in the traditional sense are performed) rather than to that of a child." The authors also do not agree with the term euthanasia for this practice as the best interest of the person who would be killed is not necessarily the primary reason his or her life is being terminated. In other words, it may be in the parents' best interest to terminate the life, not the newborns. READ ENTIRE ARTICLE
